What a different world. I haven’t read your blogs for a while and me and mum have just sat and read the lot going, wow, oh no, bless, etc…! Talk about culture shock. Hurry up and get a PO address so I can send you things! I bet one of the biggest changes is the amount of time it takes to get anything done. I will never complain about our IT department again (well, not for a week or so!). OK so what world news can I send you…? One of the biggest story lines over here at the moment believe it or not is that Russell Brand and Jonathon Ross have been suspended from BBC for being rude to Manuel from Fawlty Towers. I kid you not, it has been in the papers for days and even Gordon Brown had a word to say about it! Russell Brand has resigned and J Ross won’t be paid for 3 months. Ah, the western world, great isn’t it? US elections are tomorrow (Tues 4th). Some Americans were arrested for a plot to assassinate Obama a while ago. Lewis Hamilton is Formula One World Champion, new James Bond film is out to mixed reviews (no villain, apparently), Donald Trump has had go ahead to build huge golf resort in beauty spot in Aberdeen, a quarter of a million people are now refugees in Congo due to fighting, and the news from Northampton is that it’s 9 degrees and raining and a Securicor man was robbed on Kingsley Park Terrace. Home news: we had a house warming on Friday and I had a two day hangover – really must learn to drink properly again. I blame it on the mulled wine punch that had half a bottle of rum in it. moved some stuff in but moving in properly at the weekend after we’ve done some decorating. I think you and Marcel should swap rooms after a few months by the way, to make it fair. How long are you in Mekelle for? The whole time?
